December 15, 1948 – December 12, 2021
It is with great sadness but joyous hope that we announce that our beloved Bill Travis has passed away at the age of 72. Bill has fought a 12 month battle with cancer, and in that time he has shown us all how to live and how to die. He told us he was looking forward to this day and his promotion to heaven. For the last 20 years, Bill has faithfully served many churches as they navigated real estate decisions. Whether he worked with your church or just spoke to you, he loved every minute of serving pastors, committees, and church families. Bill walked alongside each of those he served, and he was a fierce advocate for his clients. Our Service Realty family is blessed to call Bill our brother, uncle, and friend. We know he has heard these words from the One who loved him more than we ever could, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” – Matt 25:23

Heartfelt Condolences and Prayers
Ooooh my. It’s sad to learn of the passing on of our Brother and dedicated Church realty servant. My condolences to his family and Church realty fraternity.
Bill was such a lovely man! I will miss him!
Celebrating life well lived.
My response to Bill was “ I am working out my salvation with fear and trembling to make sure I see you when I get there”
When he texted me below message:
Ty for continued prayers. My heart issue today is due to progress of my disease. Only a little while and I’m on my way to eternity, face to face with Jesus and all the saints who went before…be sure to look me up!!!
I am the property manager at the TX Conference of Seventh-day Adventists in Alvarado TX. Church Realty is our preferred realty company consultant for our churches and schools in the state of TX. I met Bill Travis back in May 2021 after having worked at the TXC for 3 months. Bill and I clicked with each other immediately. What a guy! So respectful, knowledgeable, professional, even keel, great attitude, spiritual, positive, good sense of humor, loved his family, friends and God. Bill and I became good friends over the phone and zoom meetings up until his death. I will miss him, but this I know, I will see him again as the Apostle Paul said in 1 Thessalonians 4:16 – For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
